Abstract
This is the latest in an ongoing series of articles on the productivity of key public services. In addition to new data, the article incorporates a number of methodological improvements. These reflect public consultations on how to include measures of the quality of health care as part of output, and a subsequent strategy for future work, that was published in July 2007. A supporting technical article that describes the new methods used is also available on this website.
