This article introduces a series of new CPI goods and services sub-indices, special aggregates, and related measures of the all items CPI excluding various components, published for the first time with the February 2005 indices. Two new tables featuring this data are included in the Consumer Price Indices First Release (tables 5 and 6), with five related tables also included in Focus on Consumer Price Indices. All of these new CPI series are calculated from already published component indices, with their composition (in terms of the COICOP classes they include) detailed in an annex.
