The Cabinet Office published their consultation document 'Limiting pre-release access to statistics' which sets out the government's proposals for secondary legislation covering pre-release access to statistics in their final form. The government has invited views on its proposals by 3 March 2008.
The Cabinet Office announces the appointment of the UK Statistics Authority's first non-executive members. The following persons will join Sir Michael Scholar, the Chair-designate, on the board of the new body alongside: Partha Dasgupta, Moira Gibb, Sir Alan Langlands, Stephen Nickell, David Rhind, Lord David Rowe-Beddoe, and Adrian Smith.
