Characteristics
Within the labour market, there are various sub-groups of both people and jobs that share common characteristics and it is often useful to be able to identify and analyse these groups in isolation.
Groups of people commonly disaggregated in labour market statistics include those categorised by gender, ethnicity, age and disability. Job groupings include the split between full-time and part-time working, as well as industrial and occupational groupings.
