Who uses the information collected from the ABI forms?

The data feeds into the Government's employment estimates and is used in the compilation of the National Accounts.

Users of the data include:

  • the Treasury
  • the Bank of England, including the Monetary Policy Committee
  • the Department of Trade and Industry
  • the Scottish Executive and the National Assembly for Wales
  • the Department for Work and Pensions
