If you look at the top of the questionnaire you will see either ‘Annual Business Inquiry (ABI Part 1)’ or ‘Annual Business Inquiry (ABI Part 2). Most businesses receive both questionnaires, although some businesses receive ABI Part 1 only.
ABI Part 1 is about employment and ABI Part 2 is a financial questionnaire.
The information you provide will be used to produce key economic statistics which influence:
- Company and personal taxation
- Interest rates
- Contributions to and from the European Community
- The calculation of economic indicators such as Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
