Subsection DN total turnover has increased by 13.4 per cent from £19.38 billion in 2006 to £21.98 billion in 2007.
Within 36.1 (manufacture of furniture) total turnover has increased by 13.5 per cent from £9.6 billion in 2006 to £10.9 billion in 2007. The number of businesses has decreased by less than one per cent from 7,327 in 2006 to 7,325 in 2007.
Within 37.1 (recycling of metal waste and scrap) total turnover has increased by 19.6 per cent from £3.82 billion in 2006 to £4.57 billion in 2007. The number of businesses has increased by 6.1 per cent from 710 in 2006 to 753 in 2007.
Subsection DN approximate Gross Value Added (GVA) at basic prices has increased by 21.4 per cent from £6.50 billion in 2006 to £7.89 billion in 2007. The movement of GVA is shown in the following graph:
