Subsection DM total turnover has increased by 24.8 per cent from £60.05 billion in 2006 to £74.95 billion in 2007.
Within 34.1 (manufacture of motor vehicles) total turnover has increased by 10.9 per cent from £32.80 billion in 2006 to £36.37 billion in 2007.
Within 35.3 (manufacture of aircraft and spacecraft) total turnover has increased by 6.8 per cent from £18.15 billion in 2006 to £19.39 billion in 2007.
Subsection DM approximate Gross Value Added (GVA) at basic prices has increased by 8.9 per cent from £17.54 billion in 2006 to £19.11 billion in 2007. The movement of GVA is shown in the following graph:
