Subsection DM total turnover has increased by 4.2 per cent from £66.29 billion in 2005 to £69.08 billion in 2006.
Within 35.2 (manufacture of railway and tramway locomotives and rolling stock) total turnover has decreased by 12.0 per cent from £1.59 billion in 2005 to £1.40 billion in 2006.
Within 34.1 (manufacture of motor vehicles) total turnover has increased by 4.3 per cent from £31.46 billion in 2005 to £32.80 billion in 2006.
Subsection DM approximate Gross Value Added (GVA) at basic prices has increased by 4.7 per cent from £16.69 billion in 2005 to £17.48 billion in 2006. The movement of GVA is shown in the following graph:
