Subsection DJ total turnover has increased by 7.8 per cent from £46.72 billion in 2006 to £50.35 billion in 2007.
Within 27.1 (manufacture of basic iron and steel and of ferro-alloys) total turnover has increased by 14.7 per cent from £7.67 billion in 2006 to £8.80 billion in 2007.
Within 27.4 (manufacture of basic precious and other non-ferrous metals) total turnover has increased 10.4 per cent from £5.86 billion in 2006 to £6.47 billion in 2007.
Subsection DJ approximate Gross Value Added (GVA) at basic prices has increased by 5.7 per cent from £16.76 billion in 2006 to £17.72 billion in 2007. The movement of GVA is shown in the following graph:
