Subsection DD total turnover has increased by less than one per cent from £7.49 billion in 2005 to £7.52 billion in 2006.
Within 20.3 (manufacture of builders' carpentry and joinery) total turnover has decreased by 1.7 per cent from £4.02 billion in 2005 to £3.95 billion in 2006. The number of businesses has increased by 1.4 per cent from 5,516 to 5,592 in the same period.
Subsection DD approximate Gross Value Added (GVA) at basic prices has decreased by 8.2 per cent from £2.95 billion in 2005 to £2.71 billion in 2006. The movement of GVA is shown in the following graph:
