Subsection DD total turnover has increased by 13.0 per cent from £7.51 billion in 2006 to £8.49 billion in 2007.
Within 20.3 (manufacture of builders' carpentry and joinery) total turnover has increased by 16.7 per cent from £3.95 billion in 2006 to £4.61 billion in 2007. The number of businesses has increased by 2.7 per cent from 5,592 to 5,743 in the same period.
Subsection DD approximate Gross Value Added (GVA) at basic prices has increased by 18.8 per cent from £2.71 billion in 2006 to £3.22 billion in 2007. The movement of GVA is shown in the following graph:
