Section H total turnover (excluding VAT) has increased by 2.2 per cent from £64.12 billion in 2006 to £65.53 billion in 2007.
Within 55.4 (Bars) total turnover (excluding VAT) has decreased by 5.7 per cent from £21.34 billion in 2006 to £20.12 billion in 2007. The number of businesses has increased less than one per cent from 49,001 to 49,112 within the same period.
Section H approximate Gross Value Added (GVA) at basic prices has increased by 3.3 per cent from £30.18 billion in 2006 to £31.17 billion in 2007. The movement of GVA is shown in the following graph:
