Division 50 total turnover has decreased by 1.1 per cent from £158.02 billion in 2005 to £156.35 billion in 2006.
Within 50.3 (sale of motor vehicle parts and accessories) total turnover has increased by 5.6 per cent from £13.66 billion in 2005 to £14.43 billion in 2006. The number of businesses has increased by less than one per cent from 8,067 to 8,096 in the same period.
Division 50 approximate Gross Value Added (GVA) at basic prices has increased by 4.9 per cent from £22.98 billion in 2005 to £24.12 billion in 2006. The movement of GVA is shown in the following graph:
