		Health Inequalities in the 21st Century Product   Since the 19th century, the Office for National Statistics and its predecessors have published authoritative analyses of social inequalities in health. This page presents a major series of articles on patterns of health in England and Wales in 2001-03, using the National Statistics Socio-Economic Classification (NS-SEC). The first article describes inequalities in all-cause mortality of men aged 25-64. Subsequent articles examine inequalities in male mortality by cause of death and by region. The final two articles examine female mortality by NS-SEC for all-cause mortality, for selected causes of death and for the regions of England and Wales.
