Provides information about the levels, distribution and make-up of earnings and hours paid for employees within industries, occupations and regions.
The ASHE was developed to replace the New Earnings Survey (NES) in 2004. This included improvements to the coverage of employees, imputation for item non-response and the weighting of earnings estimates.
These 2006 results do not take account of the small number of methodological changes that were introduced in 2007. Therefore these results are only continuous with years prior to 2006. A second set of results which incorporate these new methodological changes are also available for 2006.
