A series of articles comparing statistics on jobs from the Labour Force Survey (LFS) and the Workforce Jobs series (WFJ).
The Review of Employment and Jobs Statistics recommended that comparisons of jobs estimates from household and business surveys should be made on a quarterly basis. This series of articles arises from that recommendation. It is designed to enhance users' understanding of employment and jobs statistics, and to monitor the effects of statistical developments designed to improve coherence between sources.
Each article includes a summary table comparing recent estimates of total UK jobs from the LFS (a household survey) and the WFJ series (compiled mainly from business surveys).
