The Twentieth Century Mortality files are a record of mortality in England and Wales between 1901 and 2000.
The files consist of an aggregated database of deaths by age-group, sex, year and underlying cause. Also included are the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) dictionaries and populations for England and Wales. The CD-ROM contains two file formats: Access 97 and comma separated variables.
This product is currently out of stock but a copy of the data can be obtained from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) by emailing mortality@ons.gov.uk. The data contain the most recent revised population estimates for 1982 to 2000 and are also available in Access XP. View more information about this product
