		Psychiatric morbidity among prisoners in England and Wales, 1997 Product   The survey of Psychiatric Morbidity among Prisoners in England and Wales was carried out in 1997 by ONS. The survey involved personal interviews with a representative sample of remand and sentenced, male and female prisoners aged 16 to 64 in all prisons in England and Wales open at the time of the survey. Overall, 3,142 interviews were achieved, a response rate of 88%. The survey was commissioned by the Department of Health.
