The Household Assets Survey (HAS) is a new longitudinal survey introduced by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) in July 2006. It will be a vital source of statistics about how households in Great Britain are managing economically. Key areas of the questionnaire focus on borrowing, savings, household assets, and saving plans for retirement. Data produced will be used to inform government policy on a range of issues, including pension provision.
