		Office for National Statistics Efficiency Technical Note (ETN) update Product   In line with all Government Departments, the Office for National Statistics has updated its Efficiency Technical Note (ETN), first published on the ONS website in 2004. ONS agreed as part of its 2004 Spending Review settlement to: · deliver annual efficiency gains rising to £25m per year by 2007-08; · reduce by 700 full time equivalent (FTE) staff between 1 April 2004 and 31 March 2008; and · relocate 600 posts away from London and the South East by March 2008. The ETN sets out the measures and methodologies ONS will use to quantify achievement of these targets and the baselines from which progress will be measured.
