Jobs densities for local areas
Product
Annual estimates of jobs densities for unitary and local authorities, NUTS3 areas, Parliamentary Constituencies, Travel-To-Work areas and regions.
Jobs density is the number of filled jobs in an area divided by the number of working age people resident in that area.
Numbers of jobs and working age residents are also included.
Jobs density is an indicator of labour demand, along with vacancies. It forms part of a local area labour market framework with indicators of labour supply such as employment rates, unemployment rates and claimant count proportions as well as working age benefits and labour costs.
