Output Price Index
Rebasing has reduced the yearly growth rates from 2003 onwards, with differences of 1.0 percentage point (in 2005), but with smaller differences in more recent periods. These differences are mainly because of changes to chemicals, computers, radio, television and communication equipment and recycling sectors.
Input Price Index
The largest differences are evident in earlier periods of around 3 index points in 2003. From 2004, differences fall to around 1 index point or less up to April 2008, after this differences are negligible falling to less than 0.5 of an index point. The differences are mainly due to the imported chemicals, home produced food, imported metals and other home produced materials sectors.
