The data on profitability which have been made available from other countries. Some of the data are presented here for the first time.
The ONS First Release, ‘Profitability of UK Companies’ in November 1999 provided estimates of the profitability of the UK corporate sector. This article looks at the data on profitability which have been made available from other countries. Some of the data are presented here for the first time. The methodology, sources and coverage of the data presented are described and the limitations that this places on its interpretation.
