This article presents the latest labour productivity data from the Annual Business Inquiry (ABI). Adjustments have recently been made to the annual December point in time ABI employee data to give the year average, enabling the calculation of disaggregate approximate labour productivity measures at current prices for most industries up to 4-digit SIC92 level. The article discusses the dataset, in particular commenting on why the ABI data for certain industries are not appropriate for productivity calculations and hence these industries are excluded from the analysis. Finally a brief analysis of the results for the years 1998 to 2000 is given along with the full set of results.
