Producing estimates for quality adjusted labour input measures is part of a wider strategy to develop the input estimates required for multi-factor productivity. The aim is to develop a series that explicitly accounts for the changes in the composition of skills.
The series is quarterly and consistent with both the National Accounts and other productivity measures. This article describes the measure and presents some results. A number of methodological issues still need to be resolved and we would welcome comments from potential users.
